This has been a difficult period for us all. The support from staff, parents, and the wider community has helped to carry us all through this challenging time. In particular, we would like to acknowledge our students who have displayed great dignity, respect, and resilience throughout the week.
Over the course of the coming weekend, we are encouraging you to talk to your child about healthy ways to cope, using some of the resources provided and encouraging them to avoid large gatherings in unsupervised settings. The structure and routine of returning to extracurricular activities and engaging with family and close friends can also help children regain a sense of normality.
HSE community supports remain available for both adults and young people. If you or your child needs to talk to someone, please call the HSE support line on 087 1405138. You can also call into the Creeslough Health Centre this Saturday, Sunday, or Monday from 9-5 pm.
We will get through our loss and grief by continuing to support each other.
